Peter, the dog suffers from a condition that causes him to faint when he gets too excited. His family first noticed this condition when he was still young. During these episodes, which usually last a minute, Peter will suddenly appear. Collapses. Interestingly, these accidents can happen sometimes, such as when he goes from walking on grass to concrete or when only seeing ducks.
His family nicknamed him “Pete the Petrified One” because of his condition. Concerned about his health, they took him to vets who were still unsure of the cause of this neurological disease. It could be similar to goat fainting syndrome or perhaps something else entirely.
Fortunately, veterinarians have confirmed to Peter’s family that he does not experience any pain during these seizures. What’s more, Peter himself doesn’t let them bring him down either – after each episode he quickly gets back on his feet and continues with his day as if nothing had happened.
Sometimes people who experience these seizures become anxious because they think they are epileptic seizures. But once Peter’s family explains what’s going on with him, those same people become curious and eager to get to know him.
According to his family members, Peter absolutely adores the attention because he “loves everyone and everyone loves him.”
